I reviewed the latest historical biography from queer history pioneer Jonathan Ned Katz for the new publication Representology – The Journal of Media and Diversity which is doing great work.
Written in June, now widely regarded as ‘Pride month’, I consider the life of Eve Adams – an anarchist, lesbian, feminist and Jewish immigrant to the United States who lived through the early 20th century – as a reminder of the radical and revolutionary acts and people who fought for rights and liberation beyond rainbow-coloured shopping bags.
