Over the summer I worked on a Queer Up North / BLAZE project with asylum seekers and refugees. It was an incredible project and I am glad to say they have found new funding to keep it going. While other artist-faciliators worked with music, poetry and storytelling, I ran workshops on using photography and video. The short film we made as a group was shown at Souk Kitchen in Manchester last week and can be seen on the video page, under the title “A place to be myself”.
